Light Shown on Black Seadevil

The Black Seadevil, a type of anglerfish, was caught on camera at a depth of 1,900 feet.

This is significant, as this fish has been seen only a dozen times and even less often alive.

Anglerfish are known for their famous "light bulb" attachment.

The ocean is filled with mysteries.

Controller Draws Blood

A new device, called Bloodsport, draws actual blood anytime the user is shot in the video game.

The aim of this product is to amp up blood donations and to make gaming more of a challenge.

The device measures how much blood has already been taken to ensure that 'it powers off before you do."

Thus far, only $3,000 of the $25,000 needed to kick start the project has been raised.

Santa Drops a Yule Log

Poo-Pourri, a toilet deodorizing company, is kicking off the holiday season with a new ad, featuring Santa in his natural state.

In the ad, Santa decides to relieve himself in a British home he has just delivered presents to.

The smell emanating from the bathroom is enough to wake the girls of the house up, who come into the bathroom to find Santa sitting on the toilet.

Clearly, Santa needs some Poo-Pourri.

Priests On Drugs

An Italian priest was arrested for dealing cocaine in Milan.

Police found his shredded passport along with large amounts of the drug after being called to a party due to a noise disturbance.

It is believed he was selling the drug to others at the party.

The priest was allegedly self-medicating with the drug after being convicted of fraud against an elderly woman, which resulted in depression.

He is on a fast-track trial process, which may result in a lesser sentence.

The devil is NOT a lie to this priest.

French Toilet Change

French ministers of housing and ecology announced a change to a current French law requiring toilets to be kept separate from living and eating/cooking areas.

The announcement, published in the French government's official journal, will now allow French citizens to install toilets in their kitchens and living rooms, if they so choose.

The ministers said the change is a step toward simplifying French regulations.  It will go into effect December 1st.

I think the real question is, why was this a problem in the first place?

Woman Arrested in Lava Flow

A woman was arrested for dipping household objects into the lava flow currently creeping across  Hawaii.

A police barricade was set up around the lava for safety purposes and there were many onlookers, but this woman decided to go a step further.

She was arrested on second degree criminal trespassing charges and released on a $250 bail.

Police cited safety concerns as the reason for the barricade and her arrest.

The woman said she was embarrassed to have her mug shot on the internet at her age of 59.

Man Surfs Dead Whale

An Australian man decided to "surf" a floating dead whale carcass.

Harrison Williams was on a boat with his friends when they saw the floating whale.

Williams jumped on it and began trying to surf it because his friends thought it would be funny, he said.

Little did he know that there were feeding sharks surrounding the body, including at least one great white.

Luckily, the sharks were too busy feeding to notice Williams and he was collected by his friends unharmed.

He says he regrets the decision.
